Excerpt from a recording with Malaysian music legend Khairil Ridzwan. The Sun Dance is a Native American ceremony that involves dancing, singing, drumming, fasting, praying, and experiencing visions. The dancer is pierced at the chest and connected to a pole at the center of the arena. The object is to break free. The recording was one of the most abrasive ever made at Berklee and was originally titled “Matahari” (The Sun). All that can be heard at the end is electrical voltage.

This instrument is from the performance “Internet Killed the Video Star”. The song was the first of its kind, but the title was used many times before and after.

This was a series of abstract communications art pieces. The original had 16 squares.

The machine produces melodies and the instrumentalists can navigate through harmonic spaces to create compositions. The device is in continuous development.

This is an experiment in using two origins. The video is currently impossible to render.
